local outreach

Reaching into Harris and the surrounding areas is a priority for us. We wish to make a difference in our own community and share the good news of God's Kingdom with others by serving and caring for those near us.

  • The New Pathways helps families in our community to develop skills and find housing so they can succeed and thrive. This is accomplished by partnering with area churches. During the day, the families go to work, school, or to the Family Day Center to work on their goals to get into a home of their own. At night the churches and their volunteers provide sleeping accommodations and meals. Four times a year Harris Covenant partners with Trinity Lutheran Church in North Branch to provide families with children a shelter and meals in a friendly and encouraging environment.

You can also donate financially to New Pathways.  To learn more, go to newpathwaysmn.com.

  • Options for Women of Chisago County is located in North Branch, MN on the corner of Hwy 61 and Elm Street. They provide pregnancy tests, ultrasound referrals, information on abortion and other educational services to women and couples facing unplanned pregnancies. All services are FREE and CONFIDENTIAL. Go to optionsmn.org for more information or call 651-674-2121.

  • caring ministry

The goal of the Caring Ministry team at Harris Covenant Church is to care for the physical and emotional needs of those in our church family and community. This includes giving flowers and cards to those who are ill, have lost a loved one, or need a little pick-me-up. This also includes sending meals to those in need a little extra help. The caring team also works closely with the prayer team to lift up those in need and care for them spiritually.
